The Purist PX1 Deadbait range has been designed for anglers who prefer to fish for pike using deadbaits. Combining excellent value with understated, classic cosmetics and class-leading actions, there are two models available to cover a wide range of situations.
At the heart of the Purist PX1 Deadbait rods is a full carbon blank. This has been developed to combine the power required to overcome hard fighting pike, whilst also absorbing aggressive headshakes and surging runs. It will also accommodate casting large deadbaits without fear of failure. Both models are fitted with a classic full cork handle, custom DPS reel seat and Shimano Hardlite guides which reinforce the ‘classic’ look. The two piece design makes ‘made-up’ transport of the rods convenient and the inclusion of a line clip enables maximum freespool, or even open bail fishing, a practical option, even on flowing rivers or in windy conditions.
